Accounting & ERP Partnership Guide

When integrating with accounting and ERP platforms through Apideck, different connectors have varying partnership requirements. Understanding these requirements is essential for planning your integration timeline and ensuring compliance with each platform's developer policies.

This guide categorizes our accounting and ERP connectors into three groups based on their partnership requirements, helping you understand what's needed before going live with each integration.

Partnership Categories

🔴 Partnership Required

These platforms require you to register as a partner and obtain your own API credentials before going live in production. This typically involves completing a partner application, agreeing to terms of service, and potentially undergoing a security review or technical assessment. Examples include QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Sage Intacct.

🔵 Partnership Optional (Apideck Credentials Available)

For these connectors, Apideck has already established partner credentials that you can use. This means you can start integrating immediately without setting up your own partnership. However, when your users authenticate, Apideck will be shown as the application requesting access. You may optionally establish your own partnership if you prefer your own branding during the OAuth flow. Examples include Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Exact Online, MYOB, FreshBooks, Zoho Books, and Sage Business Cloud Accounting.

🟢 No Partnership Required

These connectors allow immediate integration without requiring any formal partnership. Connection is typically established directly through consumer credentials or basic API keys. Examples include Oracle NetSuite, Workday, Acumatica, and Clear Books.

Connector Partnership Matrix

The table below provides a complete overview of partnership requirements, availability of partner introductions, associated fees, and links to documentation for each live connector.

Getting Started

For Connectors Requiring Partnership (Red)

  1. Review the Application Owner Guide linked in the matrix above for your target connector.
  2. Complete the partner registration process with the accounting/ERP provider.
  3. Obtain your API credentials (Client ID, Client Secret, etc.).
  4. Configure your credentials in the Apideck dashboard under Connector Settings.
  5. Follow the Connector Config Guide to complete your setup.

For Connectors with Apideck Credentials (Blue)

  1. Enable the connector in your Apideck dashboard - no additional setup required.
  2. Your users will see "Apideck" during the OAuth flow when connecting their accounts.
  3. (Optional) Register your own partnership for custom branding on the consent screen.

Partner Introduction Program

For connectors where partner introductions are available, Apideck can facilitate an introduction to the platform's partnership team. This can help expedite your application process and ensure you're connected with the right contacts. Reach out to your Apideck account manager or contact partners@apideck.com to request an introduction.
